Shocktown Records was established in 2006, as a small company, in an effort to recognize the talents of local and international artists. With the introduction of Shocktown radio as the newest brand of entertainment.
Shocktown records now has a way to feature and showcase its talent as well as bring world wide talent to the front stage to produce a quality product for its dedicated listeners with the hopes of bringing new and exciting music for all hip hop fans to enjoy.
The 80's and 90's transformed a whole generation of music goers into hip hop hungry fans with a desire to hear more and more of what the people had to say. In a new era of music musicians seemed to have lost the voice, and instead replaced meaningful music with cars money and fame rather than the political ways of life and the importance of the streets. With the help of veteran artists and the legends of hip hop as well as new and upcoming acts, we believe that its time for hip hop to make its return as the leading form of music.
Shocktown records motto is simple "We are bringing hip hop back".
